Standard IOL calculator by MIOLO
About MIOLO Standard
MIOLO Standard is a free IOL power calculator for cataract surgery in routine and atypical eyes.
What it is for
It calculates the power of a spherical intraocular lens for a chosen target refraction, for the right and the left eye on the same page.
Who it is for and when to use it
It is built for cataract and refractive surgeons planning lens surgery in eyes with no previous corneal refractive surgery. For corneal astigmatism that calls for a toric lens, use MIOLO Toric; after LASIK, PRK, radial keratotomy or in keratoconus, use MIOLO TK.
What you enter
Axial length (AL), K1 and K2 anterior keratometry, anterior chamber depth (ACD), white-to-white (WTW), lens thickness (LT), the A-constant of the chosen lens and the target refraction. Patient name, ID, age and doctor are optional and appear only on the PDF.
What you get
The recommended IOL power for the target, a table of power options with the predicted refraction for each step, a PDF report that can be downloaded or shared, and, for signed-in surgeons, the option to save the case.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes. The calculator is free to use, with no fees and no ads.
- Which keratometry should I enter?
- Anterior keratometry (K or SimK) in K1 and K2, not total keratometry (TK), TCRP, TNP or TCP, as noted above the form.
- Can I save and print the result?
- Yes. The PDF report can be downloaded, printed or shared, and signed-in surgeons can save the case to their own records.
- Can I calculate both eyes at once?
- Yes. OD and OS have their own fields on the same page, and each eye keeps its own lens and A-constant.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes. The page adapts to phones and tablets, and the result reads the same as on a desktop.

The calculator supports, and does not replace, the surgeon's clinical judgment.
